So far, the word from Austin has been this: SXSWi is 100% about fun — but serious fun. Oh, and one big train-wreck.
Described as “Spring Break, for Geeks,” SXSWi has gained notoriety over the years as a launch-pad for products (last year Twitter was the break-out), an incubator for partnerships (my company, BricaBox, will walk [...]

Exactly why NOT to develop on Facebook
January 11th, 2008 · 1 Comment
The Facebook team announced last night that you’ll be able to demote your Facebook apps to a lower status on your provide, essentially making it easier to hide them away.
The “clean-up tool” is going to “clean up” a lot of soon-to-be pissed off developers.
This just falls right in line with the Facebook business model warnings [...]

If you’re a Facebook member, go install the Changing the Present app right now!
In the context of its own website, Changing the Present is [...]

Both “fad” and “the rage” imply a temporariness — I know. And while I think Facebook is a great social networking site, which I will use for the time-being, I think there’s an inherent temporariness in something I’ve not [...]

Public Search Listings on Facebook: My Response
September 5th, 2007 ·
My response to new “opening up” features from the web services I use is usually to back off at first, only to go all-in later.
Case in point: I still don’t let Google save my search history. It freaks me out. But eventually I see turning this feature on for the practicality of being able to [...]
