“Right”

January 2nd, 2008 · Comments

This is just too funny. Assuming he doesn’t get the nomination (which could happen, folks) I think Joe Biden is the best VP choice.
In fact, I’ll make that prediction now: Joe Biden will be the next Vice President of the United States of America.

How Innovation Happens

December 12th, 2007 · Comments

Last Friday (or perhaps two Friday’s ago) Kyle and I sat down in the SparkSpace conference room and hashed out our strategy for the coming month and a half leading up to launch.
The following video and photo are results of this meeting. Talk about anti-stealth: this is a real peak into our decision-making process. If [...]

Blip.tv Down? - UPDATED

December 12th, 2007 · 1 Comment

UPDATE 2: Definitely my ISP. Blip is back for me and it was never down yesterday. Very weird stuff though. I couldn’t access their videos on anyone’s blogs or websites, including BricaBox’s.
UPDATE: May just be my ISP’s DNS. I don’t know — but it sucks.
Looks like Blip.tv is down today. Anyone know why or how [...]

Selling ads across downloadable media

November 20th, 2007 · 2 Comments

I rarely use this blog to talk about my work in the online advertising world. Here’s a short post which goes into a bit of detail regarding what I’m learning about the industry, what makes eMediaRep and NPB such great organizations, and how I think Blip.tv is “getting it”
UPDATE: It appears that Blip pulled their [...]

Kyle Bragger (and BricaBox) featured!

November 19th, 2007 · 3 Comments

I was recently featured in the nextNYers show, produced by my friends at For Your Imagination.
I wrote about it and reposted the video on the BricaBox Blog, so go there or to the nextNYers page to view it.
One thing that got cut from the interview (it happens, so it’s not a criticism) was me talking [...]

Rafat Ali is Bearish on Webisodic TV? Crafted ad relationships?

September 30th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Who knew?
Scanning through my Sunday RSS feeds, I came across this article published in PaidContnent.
In it, the PC founder and editor Rafat Ali revealed something this long-time reader never knew:
Doug Anmuth, the Lehman Brothers analyst, makes a case for online episodic video in his weekly “Internet Inside” thinkpiece, and yes, he’s an optimist on this [...]

I especially like this analysis of Hulu by SAI’s Henry Blodget.I have a long, long video post waiting for me to finish… this inspires me to do it.For the record, I think they are screwed only because they haven’t told us why they’re going to be any good.No good news is bad news.

Joost Break? Nah. I multi-task.

September 12th, 2007 · 2 Comments

I just got this email from Joost (see screenshot below) asking me to take a Joost break.
Problem is: I don’t let my computer go full screen on anything. I multi-task. And when it comes to “lean back” viewing, I save that for my tv: my AppleTV (I just responded to a bunch of emails while [...]
