This NBC story is about one of my favorite people in the world: the smart, savvy, and sensible billionaire, Warren Buffet.
Here, Tom Brokaw goes out to Omaha to hear about “the Oracle’s” latest crusade: trying to get congress to raise his tax rate relative to his (poorer) employees’ tax rates (he couldn’t find one person in his office who pays at a lower rate then him — and he doesn’t even engage in tax planning!). My favorite part is the challenge Buffet makes to fellow Fortune 100 rich-guys (and gals) to find one employee in their company who pays less relative taxes than they do.
Clearly, there are some loopholes which need to be closed here.
