“We selected Limelight Networks’ high-performance content delivery network for delivery of the Unbox service because it was built from the ground up for digital media. Leveraging the full range of Limelight’s capabilities, we can reliably and instantaneously deliver these high-quality video files to our customers, saving them a trip to the video store.”

What does Amazon’s selection of Limelight to deliver their movie downloads have to do with Amazon’s storage (S3) service?

    Please clarify.

Sure… a lot of developers have talked about using S3 as a low cost CDN; I know Cruxy does for their video content. It’s an interesting proposition, and one that gets folks who spend a lot on CDN services interested, because of how ecocomical S3 is.

So, for all those who think about using S3 as a CDN, it certainly answers a question seeing the Amazon uses Limelight, not S3.
