Great Irv visits the UK / by Nate Westheimer

Searching through Lexis-Nexis files a while ago brought me to this file. It's a New York Times article from 1949 about our Great-Grandfather Irvin making a bold prediction for the rattled English economy (he claims it wasn't that bold, but predicting when England would emerge out of post-war doldrums would be an important thing for international investors). Anyway, it's a fun thing to read - I don't know if he was right or not (well, he was right - England has done fine - I just don't know how timely his prediction was).
